Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC)

FAS’s EPC Team carry out the detailed engineering design of our customers’ projects, procure all the equipment and materials necessary, and construct fully functioning process facilities, in addition to residential and commercial building constructions safely, within budget and on schedule.

FAS support our customers in keeping all engineering and project service providers competitive by seeking competitive proposals from several vendors.

FAS staff are well versed in working in an integrated project team, with our customer’s technical and project staff members. This offering provides our customers with the opportunity for oversight and improving communication to allow predictable and positive project outcomes.

Work on an open-book approach for turnkey EPC projects, or alternately we can offer our customers an EPCM (engineering, procurement and construction management) engagement model. We are flexible and adaptable to our customer’s needs and can selfperform individual components of EPCM or issue sub-contracts for specific scope of works.

In our capacity as “owner’s engineer” we typically are asked to provide developmental packages from conceptual, FEED and through to “request for EPC proposal” (RFP) as well as providing technical bid evaluations, and EPC execution supervision and management of the successful contractor.

Structural, Mechanical & Piping Construction

In addition to new construction work, we can provide capable construction personnel for projects that include plant, retrofits, upgrades, de-bottlenecking, shutdowns and turnarounds.

Our construction systems and processes integrate seamlessly with our customers’ operating systems and software to deliver construction-driven planning and execution.

These systems and processes include: PM Planning inclusive of estimating budgets, man-hours, labour costs and material costs as well as cost control); construction planning management systems (CPMS); Primavera or Microsoft project (project scheduling); progress reporting and trending (s-curves).

Our commissioning and completion staff are able to mobilize quickly to react to any expediting efforts for early hand-over and start-up for our customers. Our scope encompasses commissioning preparation, commissioning, completions, start-up of operations and hand-over.

Shutdowns, Turnarounds & Maintenance Projects

FAS offer planned shutdown and turnaround solutions for our customers, but also a range of maintenance services. We have provided exceptional delivery in maintenance projects, shutdowns and turnarounds and we are experienced in shutdown execution and management.

FAS undertake the most demanding shutdowns, turnarounds and maintenance projects, completing the work safely while respecting and minimizing any environmental impacts within time, on budget and well above the agreed quality level.

General Engineering Services

We have a reputation of excellent delivery in maintenance projects with the flexibility and ability to either integrate or work alongside our owner’s engineering and process departments to provide brownfield engineering solutions throughout the conceptual design phase, preliminary design or detailed design phase of a project.
